MUST READ: BOY WONDERS by Calef Brown

Ever started a word game with a friend that turned into a no-rules IMAGINATIONFEST? Feel this again--illustrated!--with Calef Brown's BOY WONDERS (Atheneum, 2011). Peek into a boy's mind as it runs, no-rules, with do, is, are, if, suppose, would, does, any and how about through a variety of creative ponderings. (It had me at "Do bees get hives?") Brilliant wordplay + Brown's fantastically unique art = MUST READ!

  2. Thanks, Lauren! I'm so excited, I practically glow-in-the-dark! Have you read BOY WONDERS yet? It's fabulous! Calef's HALLOWILLOWEEN from last year is, too. Ah, so many good books!

  3. Hi, Amy. Found you through Donna Farrell, who I'm going to work with on my own site and blog. I just bought BOY WONDERS at the National Book Festival (and met Calef Brown there, too). It's a great book. I've heard of HALLOWILLOWEEN but still haven't had the good fortune of reading it. Love the look of your site!

  4. Hi, Kerry! Donna is FANTASTIC--you will LOVE her work (and her, too!). I didn't make it to the NBF this year (bummer!), but I SO want to next year! It must have been amazing to meet Calef Brown--I haven't yet, but I bet he's REALLY cool. Can't wait to see your new site and blog! :)
